Atlantic Spadefish

Atlantic spadefish sometimes form massive schools in the spring off the North Carolina coast. This school was feeding on plankton above the wreck of the luxury ocean liner, the Proteus; in the zone where warm blue Gulf stream layers mix with cold green near shore water.
